DITCH EXPENSIVE MEMBERSHIPS & SET UP YOUR PERSONAL HOME GYM

Health has become a huge concern these days and people are spending more and more money and time to stay healthy. Also, everything is getting costlier, from food to shelter. Many of us can’t afford to have a gym membership. Also, commuting to the gym takes another amount of effort, time and money. So here are some pointers to help you set up your own gym at home and stay healthy.

P.S. – You don’t need expensive machines to stay healthy. You just need enthusiasm and creativity. So, let’s get started.

KNOW THE WORKOUT SPACE

You need to figure out a particular space to workout. So if you have a corner or a room, measure the area. This will help you figure out how big or small equipments you should buy. Assuming that you have a small space to work out, try to replace bulky equipments with simpler and smaller instruments.

You can use some space-saving workout equipments, like a TRX System or a door mounted pull up bar. You can always go for equipment less workout if your space is tight.

PLAN OUT YOUR GOALS

Fixate on your goals (weight goals or muscle goals) and buy equipments accordingly. If you have only weight loss goals, a pair of dumbbells and an open floor for cardio is enough. Nothing burns fat faster than a heated cardio. Get an open space and a good music system.

 A LIST OF HANDY EQUIPMENTS

An adjustable bench will do the jobs of an incline bench, a flat bench, and a decline bench. An adjustable bench is very versatile and can be used in almost every kind of exercise. If an adjustable bench is not affordable, use an exercise ball instead.

Dumbbells are very popular for strength training. They are smaller and affordable than other equipments. Dumbbells / free weights are the base of any home gym.

Resistance bands are great for doing various kinds of core and strength exercises. You can look at youtube videos for learning those

yoga mat, for yoga, Pilates and stretching. And Yoga is the best way to stay fit and be flexible. You can sit in front of the TV and watch videos to train yourself in Yoga.

SOME LUXURY NECESSITIES

Invest some money for accessories and décor. You don’t want to get bored during your workout sessions. Buy a good sound system and a TV. You will need it to watch workout videos or listen to music during the session.

Stock up your exercise area with towels, water sippers and energy drinks. Keep them handy so that you don’t lose the continuity and rhythm of your workout sessions.

MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL

You must have noticed that gyms have mirrors everywhere. When you watch yourself exercise it helps you exercise correctly. The mirror is very important for you when you’re working out on your own and don’t have a trainer to correct your form.

Goahead, save some money and burn your calories at your own time and pace 🙂
