Karan Johar is known for his star-studded movies where he manages to bring some to the famous names together to present an absolute masterpiece. The upcoming movie of the director is called ‘Good News’ which casts Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh. The former two are established names in the Bollywood industry and earned the title of superstars while Kiara and Diljit are on their way to earn a tremendous amount of fame and success.

The release date of the movie was believed to be 19th July earlier but now it has been postponed till 27th December 2019. Made under the direction of Raj Mehta, the movie is said to be a family drama with romance comedy. The public will get to the chemistry of Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan after so long after ‘Kambakkht Ishq’, ‘Ajnabee’, ‘Tashan’ and ‘Bewafa’, so now it would be really interesting to see the duo again in ‘Good News’.

Based on the clips released by Dharma Production it can be assumed that the movie will be introducing a unique idea. In these videos, Akshay Kumar can be seen with a swollen tummy that seems like he is pregnant. Assumptions interpret that ‘Good News’ will bring a fresh perspective to the audience as the man in this family will be the one bearing a child. Well, it sure seems odd to digest but Dharma Production has rarely disappointed us with their movie so ‘Good News’ is sure is the one to look forward to.

The movie cast Akshay Kumar as Kabir Mehta, Kareena Kapoor Khan as Shalini Mehra, Diljit Dosanjh as Honey Singh Rangroot, and Kiara Advani as Monika D’souza. Along with the main cast, the movie also stars Auritra Gosh, Tanmay Dhanania, Yukta Mookhey, Anjana Sukhani, Atul Shrivastava, and Gulshan Grover.

Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to let people know about his new movie. He showed his excitement toward the release of the movie and also mentioned it’s releasing date. However, the has a new release date now which is 27th December. Diljit Dosanjh also showed his excitement as it is his first movie under the banner of Dharma Production. The actors started shooting for the film in the month of January. The filming of ‘Good News’ was wrapped in the first week of April 2019.

The music in the film is composed by Himesh Reshammiya. The storyline is written by Jyoti Kapoor, Raj Mehta, and Rishabh Sharma. It is produced under the respective banners of Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar that is Dharma Production and Cape of Good Films.
