Healthy meals put together in 15-20 minutes

 

The struggle is a part of life and the bigger struggle is making yourself a meal when all you want to do is kick back and watch some Netflix. But there’s only so much of lazing around a man can do when it’s about feeding oneself. This is why we decided to make it easier for you and give you a list of healthy meals that you can make or put together, especially post-workout or after work, in fifteen to twenty minutes. 

The Famous Oatmeal:

Take around 30g to 40g oats in a bowl and pour a reasonable amount of water/milk in it. Microwave it for 5 minutes, add some honey or maple syrup, one tbsp of peanut butter, some berries and you’re ready with a bowl of oatmeal. One of the quickest healthy meals!

Pro Tip: Add a scoop of protein powder to it to ramp up the protein content of the meal. 

A Quick Sandwich:

Making a sandwich is probably the best way to make a meal. The best part about a sandwich is you get to choose what you put between the slices of bread. The healthy way to make a sandwich is to use low-calorie cheese slices and low-calorie condiments. But, do make sure you keep an eye on the macros for the bread. 

Pro Tip: Use brown bread if you want the amp down the total calories.

Protein Filled Salad:

You can make yourself a very quick salad which can be perfect for your post-workout meal. Grill or boil your chicken, season it lightly and stir fry it, chop some vegetables and add a low-calorie sauce to it. Mix it well and you’ll be enjoying a bowl of healthiness in fifteen minutes!! 

Pro Tip: Garlic pepper seasoning is a must-try for your salad.

Fresh Smoothies:

It sounds like a complicated process but in fact, it’s nothing short of easy sailing. Here’s what you need: milk, yogurt, bananas, honey, ice cubes, and protein powder. Blend them together in reasonable amounts and you’ll be ready with a shake in a jiffy.

Pro tip: Add some low-calorie ice cream to buff up the taste! 

Breakfast Wraps:

Often we are faced with the dilemma: To make a meal for breakfast or just eat outside? Primarily this is because nobody feels like making a meal right after waking up. But when you are on a fitness journey or you want to stay healthy, you have to make your own breakfast. Take a tortilla, put some chopped veggies inside, add chicken or eggs, use your preferred condiments, wrap it up! 

Pro Tip: Fold in one end of the wrap to avoid the stuffing from falling out.
