After Sadak 2, Is Bollywood going to face the Movie Mutiny?

What sparked the Movie Mutiny?

We all know about the millions of dislikes on the Sadak 2 trailer. Sushant Singh Rajput’s death sparked a mutiny, which is refusing to go silent. The trailer faced so much hatred, and it doesn’t matter if the story line is good or bad, it is pure hatred which led to this scenario. Is the indian audience really awake and ready for a movie mutiny? Here is a sneak peek into the upcoming Bollywood movies that are sparking controversy already.

SSR Committed suicide on June 14. Speculations say that he committed suicide without leaving a clue. Fans are angry because of the theory that Nepotism killed his career and he had to take that drastic step. Posters of Karan Johar and Salman Khan in particular are being burnt, who are known  as the flag bearers of nepotism. Hashtags like #BoycottKhans, #SayNoToNepotism are trending these days on social media platforms.

The social media is on fire, not only because of a particular person getting the movies. But also about the various award shows which gave preference to the Nepo Kids.

With Sadak 2 getting millions of dislikes, it seems that the Indian Audience have had enough of the Nepotism. We cannot deny that Alia Bhatt is a talented actress. She is a good actress now, but she wasn’t worthy when she got her debut role in Student Of The Year.

With Sadak 2, the upcoming movie Gunjan Saxena, starring Jhanvi Kapoor is also facing backlash. Many are already using #BoycottTheKargilGirl on twitter.

Although the movie trailer isn’t out yet, but Toofan starring Farhan Akhtar has been dragged into this game of boycott and hashtags. Farhan tweeted his concern, few days ago.

We cannot leave behind another big movie from this list. And that is Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor Starrer Brahmastra.

People are digging out the details. From Award shows to social media posts, starkids are facing a hard time with the backlashes. They are blindly going against each and every star kid. Some even faced death and rape threats. Which isn’t correct.

How To Do It Right?

The nation is demanding for a complete ban on Bollywood. But we should know that it is also a hub for millions of dreams. Boycotting Bollywood movies is not a long-term solution. If we boycott movies, many people who get jobs from them will lose their livelihood. Like set artists, light men, and the crew that worked with the production house. There are many poor people who worked behind the scenes.

But, if you really want to bring the balance, and get rid of nepotism in the right way, then watch more movies by new actors who had no god father in the industry. Such as, Rajkumar Rao, Vicky Kaushal, Tapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar Etc

We must learn to appreciate new and upcoming talents. There is some of our fault as well. We didn’t watch Sonchiraiya or Byomkesh Bakshi in theatres.

We must remember to identify new talent and give them the praise they deserve.
