Human voice has mainly two categories ; Male and female voice. Men usually develop a deeper voice when they attain puberty whereas women have a softer and shrill voice, which is determined by low or high pitch. Pitch is one of the characteristics of sound which is defined as the frequency of the sound waves perceived by our ears .i.e. how high or low the sound is. Higher the pitch, shriller the sound. Have you ever wondered why some men develop a high-pitched voice than that of other men? Voice generally defines the biological characteristics of a person such as maturity and physical strength. Low-Pitched Voice

Pitch of sound depends on the length and thickness of vocal folds. Men usually tend to have thick and long vocal folds due to higher level of testosterone, this makes the vocal folds vibrate at a lower frequency, producing low-pitched voice, colloquially known as deep or resonating voice. So, if your is heavy, consider yourself blessed because it opens to you a list of advantages. There are many situations where people with heavy voice have an upper hand. Deep voice attract more attention, this makes it easy for them to volunteer. They often exude leadership quality among others. It has also been evident that we prefer our political leaders with a powerful and deep voice. Career options are available if you gain a skill that requires heavy voice as that of a Radio Jockey (RJ), voice-over artist and so on.

Normal to High-Pitched Voice

Some men tend to have normal to high pitched voice. This does not stop you from achieving a career. Pitch of the voice depends on the level of testosterone produced by the body. We know a number of singers who are known for their high-pitched vocals. You can be a voice over artist if you have a high pitched voice. In an adult man, the range of voice varies from 85- 155 Hz. High-pitched voice is also prevalent among male opera singers like Luciano Pavarotti

1. Morgan Freeman

Morgan Freeman is an American director, actor and narrator. He is well-known for his deep and distinct voice. Have you ever wondered what makes us love Freeman’s voice? 3. Abraham Lincoln

This name rings a bell in everyone’s mind. Abraham Lincoln did not have a baritone and resonant voice rather he had a than sound. Horace White, a journalist described his voice as falsetto, high-pitched like the whistle of the boatswain. He spoke slowly with a perfect pause in between the words which left an everlasting effect on the audience’s mind. He served as the President of The United States of America from 1861 to 1865.

4. Barry White

Barry Eugene Carter was a legend of music. He is popularly known as Barry White. He was American singer, songwriter and composer, won Grammy twice in his lifetime. His biggest hit was “Love’s Theme”, he also sang many other blockbuster songs such as ” I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More”, ” I’ve got so much to Give” and many more. His posthumous introduction took place into the Dance Music Hall of Fame in 2004. Barry White has also been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013 posthumously. 5. Freddie Mercury

On the other hand, Freddie Mercury had a high-pitched voice. He was famous for his high-pitched vocals. A Zanzibari born, British singer of Indian descent. 6. Amitabh Bachchan

Needless to introduce, Deep and bass voice of Amitabh Bachchan has ruled over Indian cinema since he stepped into the industry. He started his career as a voice narrator in Mrinal Sen’s Bhuvan Shome, released in 1969. Bachchan has been a narrator, a playback singer and has presented numerous programmes. He has also lent voice to the Hindi adaptation of ‘The Big Friendly Giant’, a Hindi adaptation of a 2016 American Fantasy adventure film. He also received Padma Bhushan in 2001.
